There are two ways to get your Share Box:

1. AT A COMMUNITY DEPOT

A Community Depot is a location where you can pick up your Share Box free of charge.  Most often they are on the porch at the home of one of our members, at a local church, business or community centre.
Pick up at a depot is on an "honour system" basis and is not staffed by us.  You will find a list of the names of members picking up there and you take the correct Share Box from that location.

Please look through our list of  “Community Depots” to see if  one of them is close to you.

Because the depot is at someone’s home, you will not see the exact address on the website, after you place your order you will be emailed the exact time and location for your pick up.

2. Home Delivery:

Delivery of your share directly to your home is only available in some areas and the cost is $5/delivery on top of the cost of your share. Home Delivery is available in Greater Hamilton, Burlington, & Oakville.
You do not need to be home, we will leave the box for you. Deliveries will come between 1pm and 9pm.

Apartments & Condos – we need to be able to leave the box with security or in the lobby, your order will be delivered in a cardboard box you can recycle.

Organic farmers are stewards of the land who preserve the quality of the soil and water for future generations. Organic produce is grown using methods that promote soil fertility and a healthy farm ecosystem.

  • No herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, synthetic fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms are used during the farming process or added to the food.
  • Pests are controlled through crop rotation, physical removal, and biological controls.
  • Weeds are controlled by hand hoeing and mechanical cultivation.
  • Fertility and soil structure are maintained through the introduction of organic matter, such as compost, and cover crops. Micro-organisms from this matter also break down minerals in the soil so that plants can absorb them and grow to be strong and healthy.

ORGANIC FOOD IS HEALTHY
Organic farming practices leave no toxic residues on your food! They do not pollute the air, water, or soil of your community, leaving the environment a healthy place for humans, animals, and plants to live.

FRESH ORGANIC PRODUCE IS DELICIOUS
Field ripened and freshly picked local organic produce is healthier because it contains more nutrients. Our produce goes right from the field to you, so there is no need for dangerous practices such as irradiation, and gassing are not needed to ripen it or keep it fresh. We harvest most of the produce the day before you receive it!
If you forget to pick up your box at the depot you can go until 6pm the following day. (*exception- Unitarian Church Hamilton)
However we do not guarantee that the produce will still be in good condition after the assigned pick up time. We will not refund any forgotten shares. After 6pm the following day your box will be used or donated.
Here at Plan B Organic Farm we have a Covid-19 prevention policy and action plan in place to make sure we are doing everything possible to keep our staff and customers safe during this pandemic.

Plan B Farm staff are all reminded to self-screen before coming to work and are asked to answer screening questions when they arrive. Our packing warehouse is open to staff only.  All staff must wear masks and sanitize their hands upon entry to the building.  Socially distanced break spaces are made available.

Our plastic share bins are sanitized each time they return to our warehouse and often sit untouched for 24-72 hours before they are filled again.  Our drivers are instructed to wear masks when taking the box up to the door and to sanitize their hands before making a delivery. We also ask that you sanitize your empty plastic bin before leaving it out for the driver. If you prefer your produce delivered in disposable plastic bags or a recyclable cardboard box please let us know and we will arrange that for you.
